About the Project

Ross Group renovated a three-story, 64,174 sq. ft. existing building into the new home of the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s office. The facility, which sits on a 3.82-acre site, was formerly used by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. The medical examiner’s office occupies the first two floors of the facility, while the third is leased by the owner and developer.

The medical examiner’s office consists of 42,000 sq. ft. and a new 1,800 sq. ft. sally port addition for transport vehicles to securely and privately pick up and drop off. Inside, laboratory spaces, examination spaces, and administrative areas support the operations of the office, while gathering spaces, viewing spaces, and a public entry are provided for visitors. The 15,000 sq. ft. autopsy complex includes a large autopsy suite, radiology, MRI suites, and a forensic evidence and property vault. The facility also includes a 6,000 sq. ft. toxicology laboratory.
