About the Project
Ross Group completed the renovation of the existing Stroud High School building, repurposing the facility into the Middle School for Stroud Public Schools.
The project included 19,802 sq. ft. within the building, which has a total occupancy load of 487 people. The renovation included numerous classrooms, the science lab, administrative offices, the library and reading room, restrooms, corridors, work rooms, mechanical spaces, and storage areas.
An extensive scope of the project involved replacing the existing heating and cooling systems with new rooftop HVAC units, ductwork, and gypsum board furr downs. All existing interior lighting was replaced and a new fire alarm system was installed. The work also included the addition of new ballistic storefront systems at every entry into the building, as well as the replacement of all aluminum window systems and existing skylights throughout. New brick and EIFS were installed at the east and west entries into the building, and all existing metal fascia and soffit panels were replaced in their entirety. New exterior lighting was also installed along the perimeter of the facility, and new building signage was provided.
